My name is Ilir Morina. I was born and raised in Germany with roots from Kosovo.

In the summer of 2011, while living and working in Austria and Switzerland, I made a decision that most people around me thought was crazy: I sold my business, packed my backpack, and bought a one-way ticket to Asia. My goal was simple, but extremely ambitious — to travel the entire world.

At that time I had already visited around 45 countries, but I wanted something bigger. I set myself a mission: visit every country in the world within 10 years. Like every serious mission in life, it needed a deadline.

The journey turned into a life experience beyond anything I could have imagined. What started as an idea slowly became an obsession with discovery. Country after country, continent after continent, I continued moving forward — learning cultures, meeting people, and sometimes facing situations that tested both my courage and patience.

In total, it took 4,222 days of full-time travel to reach my goal.

Today I am proud to say that I became:

• the first Kosovar/Albanian to travel to every country in the world,

• the youngest German citizen to complete this journey, and

• the youngest traveler from the Balkans to visit every country on Earth.

I completed my journey across 201 countries and territories, a list that includes the 193 UN member states, observer states, and several other globally recognized territories.

To put this into perspective:
Out of 8 billion people on the planet, fewer than 300 people are known to have visited every country in the world. In fact, statistically more people have been to space or climbed Mount Everest than have visited every country on Earth.

My final destination was Eritrea, where I spent three weeks completely disconnected from the world reflecting on this journey and preparing for what comes next. But finishing the world was never the end of the story. During this decade-long journey I also founded:

MorinasWorld Travel & Tours, a travel company designed to help others explore the world and experience destinations far beyond the usual travel routes.

Today MorinasWorld offers something very rare in the travel industry: there is practically no destination on Earth that we cannot organize or guide you to visit.

Because for me travel was never about collecting passport stamps. It was about truly entering countries, spending time there, understanding people, and respecting cultures.

Even after reaching every country in the world, the journey is far from over. New goals remain ahead — from visiting the North and South Pole to climbing Mount Everest and exploring some of the most remote places on Earth.

Because once travel becomes part of your life, it never really stops.
